Hi, I'm Eric…Your Grill Guy.
I'm a Hays County local, and I started this business because of two things I genuinely love…food and this community. Let me tell you a little about how I got here.
I spent the better part of my life in the restaurant industry, close to 15 years, working just about every role there is.
Front of house, back of house, bartending college bars and fine dining rooms, and eventually moving into management. I've worked every shift, worn every hat, and developed a deep love for food, cooking, and the kind of hospitality that makes people feel at home. That passion for cooking has never left me and neither has my obsession with the grill.
After more than a decade in restaurants, I transitioned into the commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning industry, where I spent the next ten years learning how to break down grease…serious restaurant grease off metal surfaces for a living. I know chemicals, I know equipment, and I know what it takes to get things genuinely clean, not just clean enough.
When I started connecting the dots between those two worlds, the idea for Your Grill Guy was born.
How Hays County Became Home
I moved to Hays County in 2019, relocated to help launch a new branch for my company. My wife and I got married just before the move, and we arrived ready to dive headfirst into everything the area had to offer…the Austin food scene, the music, the Hill Country weekends. Then COVID hit. Like everyone else, we were bummed, but we adjusted. Then we had a baby! And everything changed.
I started cooking at home more. Grilling more. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I fell in love with this place. The small-town charm of Buda's Main Street.
The college-town energy and diversity of San Marcos. The booming suburban life taking shape in Kyle. The beautiful Texas Hill Country feel of Wimberley, Driftwood, and Dripping Springs. Hays County has a little bit of everything, and it genuinely feels like home.
My wife has been a teacher with Hays County ISD since we arrived. She's been serving this community from day one. I wanted to do the same. I wanted to build something of my own, something rooted here, something that puts my skills to work for the neighbors and homeowners I've come to know and respect.

Your Grill Guy is the result of 25 years of combined experience in the restaurant industry and professional cleaning, brought directly to your backyard. I clean gas grills, pellet smokers, kamado grills, and full outdoor kitchens throughout Kyle, Buda, Dripping Springs, San Marcos, and Wimberley. I come to you, I handle everything, and I leave your grill looking and performing the way it should.
This is more than a cleaning service. It's a commitment to the community my wife and I chose to call home…and a promise to show up, do the job right, and earn your trust every single time.
